1. Who we are

Nexus AI ("Nexus AI", "we", "us") operates the website and the online course platform available at nexus.ai (the "Service"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of the landing page, to registered students, and to subscribers.

2. Data we collect

Information you give us

  • Account data: your name, email address and a password (stored only as a salted hash).
  • Support messages: anything you send us by email or through the community.

Information generated by using the Service

  • Learning progress: which lessons you opened and marked as completed, and when.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and timestamps, collected in server logs.

Payment information

Subscriptions are processed by an independent payment provider through a secure checkout page. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only confirmation of payment, the plan purchased and the billing email so we can activate and manage your access.

3. How we use your data

  • To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
  • To deliver the course, save your progress and issue certificates.
  • To manage your subscription, billing and refunds.
  • To answer support requests.
  • To keep the Service safe, prevent abuse and debug errors.
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, important changes to the Service).
  • To send occasional product updates, only if you opted in. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use your data to train AI models.

4. Legal basis

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or LGPD apply, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the course you subscribed to), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the Service), legal obligations (tax and accounting records) and consent (marketing emails, optional cookies).

5. Sharing and processors

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service and that are bound by data processing agreements:

CategoryPurpose
Payment providerProcessing subscriptions and refunds
Hosting and infrastructureRunning the application and storing the database
Email deliverySending transactional and opt-in emails
Analytics (if enabled)Aggregated usage statistics

We may also disclose data when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of Nexus AI, our students or others. If Nexus AI is involved in a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the new owner under this same policy.

6. Cookies

The student area uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Service. The landing page does not set tracking cookies by default. If we add analytics, it will be aggregated and you will be able to opt out.

7. Retention

  • Account and progress data: for as long as your account exists, and up to 30 days after you delete it.
  • Billing records: for the period required by tax and accounting law.
  • Server logs: up to 90 days.

8. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, least-privilege access, isolated infrastructure and regular updates. No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can update your name and email from your account, and you can request deletion of your account by contacting us. We answer requests within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children

The Service is intended for people aged 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. For material changes we will notify registered students by email before the change takes effect.
